Bible Study: The 10 Commandments

The 10 Commandments are the law of God which was given to Moses on the top of Mount Sanai. They are found in the book of Exodus and were given to the people from God directly after he delivered them from slavery in Egypt. The 10 Commandments were written on tablets of stone by the hand of God.

The 10 Commandments were the specific words of the covenant written by God, Himself. The covenant was made only with the nation of Israel, according to the Bible in approximately 1300 B.C. These laws were transcribed as part of the book of Moses which later became part of the Bible.
